The WHL and Victory+ have teamed up to offer a new free streaming service for all WHL games beginning with the 2025 WHL Playoffs. Neil Gruninger is the CEO of A Parent Media Co. Inc which operates Victoty+. He'll join us to give us more information on the product and what WHL fans can expect.

The WHL's Bob Ridley Award for Media Excellence was presented to the family of the late Greg Meachem recently in Red Deer. Greg's longtime friend Danny Rode joins us. He'll discuss Greg's character and his legacy of covering the Red Deer Rebels and the WHL.

A four goal, one assist weekend for Saskatoon Blades F Hunter Laing has netted him the Tempo WHL Player of the Week. He'll talk about his weekend and the Blades in the hunt for an East Division title.

Finally, the Brandon Wheat Kings will honour legend Brian Propp this weekend with a Hall of Fame Induction. We'll hear from one of the all-time leading scorers in WHL history ahead of the event.

The Medicine Hat Tigers are on a roll heading into the weekend as they lead the Central Division by a point. Goaltender Harrison Meneghin claimed the WHL Goalie of the Week award and joins the show.

The WHL features a talented class of 16 year-olds (2008-born) across the league. One of the rising stars in Vancouver Giants D Ryan Lin. He recently set a new Vancouver Giants record for points in a season by a 16 year-old D. We will hear from the top prospect for the 2026 NHL Draft.

Finally, Red Deer Rebels President & General Manager Brent Sutter was inducted into the New York Islanders Hall of Fame in a special ceremony. Sutter played on Long Island from 1980-1991. We will take you back to that ceremony.

Former Kelowna Rockets D Luke Schenn recently passed the 1000 career NHL games milestone with the Nashville Predators. Hear from Schenn on his time in the WHL and how it laid the foundation for his success at the NHL level.

Also, former five-year Tri-City American Connor Bouchard was recently honoured by the Mount Royal Cougars for his 2023-24 USPORTS Men's Hockey Player of the Year Award. The WHL's Cami Kepke was there and chatted with Bouchard as they embark on another Canada West season with championship aspirations.

WHL Alumnus Luke Philip made his NHL debut this past week for the Chicago Blackhawks. The former Kootenay ICE and Red Deer Rebels used his WHL Scholarship to Attend U of A after his WHL playing days. He then started his professional career. After three years in the AHL, Philp joined the Chicago Blackhawks for their Western road swing.

It's called the Orange Jersey Project and it's something you'll see in WHL rinks this month. The awareness campaign towards Indigenous Truth & Reconciliation will see WHL teams wear orange jerseys in warm-up. Project Coordinator Jeremy Boston joins us to discuss the goals and partnership with the WHL.
